Adios, LiveJournal! We're going to the surface!
I doubt I'm going to be posting on LiveJournal much from now on. Maybe a few dull posts about buses doing amusing things or stuff going on in my life, but nothing very important.

Why is that? Because I have my own website now, with a self-admin'd blog. With that, I have no need for sites like LJ and Photobucket anymore.

The site is only half-live at the moment - the photo gallery and blog are up and going and the secret forum has reached nearly 500 posts. The 'Code' section only has one game on it so far, but hopefully I'll get some more code up there this morning. I'm also planning to write a 'Guides' section explaining how to do various simple things which people tend not to know - working with Java packages, setting Windows environmental variables, using the Windows command line....maybe write a basic guide to LaTeX. Stuff which might help my friends in the first year.

I hardly have any active contacts on LJ anymore, anyway. The people who want to find me will be able to, those who don't won't bother. It's as simple as that.

Pah. Typical. I find your LJ two months after you've left it :-P

Oh, always!
(I'm meant to be checking out of halls in twelve hours. I haven't finished packing. It's going to be a long night.)

Well, you could help the night pass quickly by reading my LJ ;)
I'm leaving my halls tomorrow (uh, later today, now) as well. Almost all of my stuff is back home now, though, so it won't be so bad. Lots of cleaning to do, though :S

So I see, you're still here after all ^_^

My stuff's all in storage. It's just a matter of packing up the remaining bits ready to cart around with me. I estimate:

*one suitcase
*one rucksack
*one laptop case
*one kit bag

and possibly a few other bits and pieces in carrier bags. And it has to come with me, ten minutes up the road tomorrow, then to Lancaster for a couple of weeks, then down to Lynn, then further down to Essex, then back up to Lynn and back to Manchester. For three months. Fun times!

Journal part 5 - what? Where?

For a given definition of `here', certainly. I'm still on LJ, despite my best efforts to quit it. I'm still at Uni, but I've finished my final year, so I won't be a student for much longer.

My stuff should be a rucksack, a laptop bag and a couple of large carrier bags. I hopes I hopes I hopes.

Lancaster, eh? What are you doing up there for a few weeks? Sounds like you've got some summer plans, at least!

Journal part 5 on XKCD. The `Journal' storyline was rather nice :)

Ohh, I see. When you said Journal, I was still thinking of the Live variety...

I've got a friend up there (this is her website, if you're at all interested in QIy things) who I'm staying with until the end of the month. It's the start of an epic adventure which will involve me seeing several floors, sofas and spare beds until September, huzzah!
